First thing that came to mind when I thought up the post title, was a Billy Joel song. President Bush has agreed with Pelosi that she needs access to a military plane, whenever. Pelosi wants access to military planes, to transfer her around the country, with a group of people like the President has. Pelosi wants access to a large plane, such as the Boeing C-32, pictured below:

Apparently Dem psycho Murtha has phoned the White House, telling the President he better give Pelosi what she wants. This from the party of the global warming panic. In all fairness, Dennis Hastert had access to a plane too, a small commuter jet for himself and a few people. Pelosi wants a large plane, with a large entourage, and to be used for whatever she wants, including for political benefit, something Hastert couldn’t use it for.

Can anyone say “hypocrite”?

Guess what Pelosi also wanted:

“The congressional source said the speaker’s office requested an Air Force plane to take her to a weekend Democratic retreat in Williamsburg, but the Pentagon declined. ”

Hastert was only allowed special access to a plane, to fly to his district and back. She wants to use taxpayer dollars and abuse her power, for individual political purposes, on a completely different side of the nation than her district. There are 3 planes available to Congress, and as emergency backups, at Andrews Air Force base. She wants constant access to one, leaving 2 for both the House and the Senate. Will the Pentagon give in to her? Of course:

The source said the Pentagon will likely give in to Mrs. Pelosi’s requests for a large plane and travel entourage, given her and Mr. Murtha’s power over defense spending.

And the Republicans abused power? So, basically she is willing to put our nations security at risk, to get the plane and power she wants.
