How Dare We Deport Violent Illegals

July 16th, 2007

Michelle’s got it. Pro-illegal groups are descending upon Waukegan, Illinois to protest the vote for 287(g) program. The program would allow the city to partner with the feds to deport criminal illegal aliens.

Waukegan authorities say they are preparing today for thousands of people expected to descend on the downtown area to protest the city’s proposed extension of immigration enforcement.

Waukegan Police Chief William Biang said his department is working with other local agencies to beef up enforcement for an announced rally that will coincide with the City Council’s vote to reconsider application for 287(g) authorization.

Though thousands are expected, only about 175 will fit in council chambers. Admission will be granted only to those who have tickets, which will be distributed at Waukegan’s south beach, beginning at 4 p.m.

The first 400 people will be given tickets, but only 174 are guaranteed admission.

If the council supports moving forward with 287(g), ultimately Waukegan police could obtain authority to begin deportation proceedings for illegal residents convicted of violent crimes.

That’s something that many in the Hispanic community say would go too far.

Note: They program wouldn’t deport all illegal aliens, just those convicted of violent crimes. And the Hispanic community says that would go too far? Yes. How dare we deport people who are in this country illegally, have ignored our immigration laws, and have been convicted of violent crimes! Who do we think we are? A sovereign nation?

Freedom Folks has photos of local businesses who are supporting the criminal illegal aliens. Unfortunately, one of those businesses with the anti-enforcement flyer in the window is Dunkin’ Donuts. Freedom Folds writes:

Local “immigrant” organizations, apparently afflicted with legal blindness (the inability to distinguish legal immigrants from illegal aliens), announced a boycott of businesses who don’t display this sign denouncing law enforcement in Waukegan…

But the real disappointment was found at 2900 Belvidere Road…

Dunkin’ Donuts, who announced that as of June 1, 2006, they were requiring all of their franchises to use the Basic Pilot program to verify employees’ legality to work. Dunkin’ Donuts who advertised their support of hiring legal employees with signs in store windows that read “We follow the law! This company hires lawful workers only.” Dunkin’ Donuts who we praised for publicly supporting the upholding of our laws. Dunkin Donuts for whom Michelle Malkin VENTed appreciation.

If anyone cares to join me in expressing displeasure/questioning corporate about the Waukegan location’s support of lawlessness over lawfulness, here’s their contact info:

Do these local businesses actually understand what they are saying? They’re saying that they’re against the deportation of illegal aliens who have committed violent crimes. They’re in favor of allowing criminal illegal aliens to continue to break our immigration laws. They’re in favor of amnesty for convicted criminals.

Ok, first of all, illegal immigration didn’t become a problem after 9/11. As far back as the 80s, we were struggling to find a solution to the problem, having 3 million illegal aliens in the nation.

Secondly, if you’re here legally, I’m glad you’re here. You’re an asset to the nation and I would welcome all other legal immigrants with open arms. I have legal immigrants in my family itself.

It’s illegal immigration I’m against. If you live here legally, this is your country. However, this is not the country of illegal aliens.
