It’s a debate for Democratic candidates, sponsored by the AFL-CIO, hosted by Keith Olbermann, and presented at Soldier Field in Chicago. It doesn’t get more Liberal-pansy than that, folks. It promises to be a craptastic, non-eventful, soft-ball, pandering-to-labor fest. Allah will have video.
UPDATE: Bryan updates with:
I’m not going to liveblog the debate, but at 7:21 Richardson said he’d fire a whole bunch of government lawyers for political reasons (union busting or something like that). Isn’t that what the Democrats are accusing Bush of doing — firing government lawyers for political reasons?
UPDATE: They love Obama, and booed Hillary. Obama’s defending his naive “bomb Pakistan” plan, to the cheers of the AFL-CIO crowd. He attacks Dodd. He says it’s “ironic” that Dodd, who voted for Iraq (an enemy seeking nuclear power), is against bombing a nuclear ally. Obama definitely doesn’t think before he talks. Doesn’t matter, as the union people cheer wildly at his rhetoric. Hillary points out that it’s like, a bad idea to destabilize Pakistan, handing over nuclear weapons to the Islamic extremists. She gets booed.
