Richard Minter of Pajamas Media spoke with people involved in the TNR scandal, including Beauchamp’s former fiancée. As we discovered from reading his old blog, she told Minter:

“He hates the army. The only reason he joined was because he wanted to have more experience to write about.”

One of those Minter interviewed, was the tipster, Robert McGee, who told several blogs (Ace, LGF) about Beauchamp being married to Reeve. That whistle blowing would cost McGee his job at TNR.
