Well good to know I’m not the only one up at this hour. Michelle Malkin has an update on the Goose Creek boys. Remember these two?

If you don’t remember, they were pulled over in Goose Creek, South Carolina, after they were speeding by a naval base and enemy-combatant detention center. As soon as the police pulled them over, one quickly stored away a laptop. Local police say they found pipe bombs and bomb-making materials in the car. The FBI is denying, but they’ve interviewed the men’s neighbor. Local police continue to stand by their charges.
Well, know a grand jury wants DNA samples:
TAMPA – A federal grand jury in Tampa is asking for DNA and hair samples from a University of South Florida student jailed four weeks ago in South Carolina on explosives charges, his attorney said.
Andrew Savage said in a phone interview Wednesday night that he had no indication why the samples were being sought from his client, Youssef Megahed.
The news came as the grand jury heard testimony Wednesday from people who have connections to Megahed and Ahmed Mohamed, another USF student arrested at the same time.
Michelle reminds us that the home raided in the arrest was previously rented to WISE (World and Islam Studies Enterprise). WISE is one of two groups founded by Sami Al-Arian, a convicted jihad supporter and professor at the University of South Florida. USF is the same university Ahmed Megahed and Yousef Mohamed attend.
This is all getting very strange.
