Yet, their views on Iraq hasn’t changed, which is confusing. Why? Because Petraeus advocated pulling the surge troops out by July ’08, but continuing to have over 100,000 in the nation. Did they only listen to the part they wanted to hear (partial draw down) and ignore the recommendation that we stay and a premature withdrawal would be devastating?
