Ahmadinejad Still Visiting Ground Zero?; Meeting With 9/11 Familes?

The Corner says WNBC just quoted an Iranian foreign ministry spokesman saying that the visit to Ground Zero “is on the president’s schedule.” If it’s true, and I’ve not been able to find a confirmation on the wires, we know what he’ll say:

In the “60 Minutes” interview, he said, “Usually you go to these sites to pay your respects. And also to perhaps air your views about the root causes of such incidents.”

In other words, blame America for 9/11.

Update: Fars reports:

Meetings with the survivors and bereaved families of the 9-11 incident, journalists and critics of the Bush administration are also included in Ahmadinejad’s itinerary.

If you read the report, understand it’s an Iranian news service, so it’s more blatantly biased than a political blog here in the states.
