Failed presidential candidate and Former Vice President Walter Mondale will endorse Hillary Clinton for the presidency, sources tell The Hill.

Commentators in recent days have drawn parallels between Clinton’s 2008 and Mondale’s 1984 campaigns. As Mondale before her, Clinton has worked hard to cultivate an aura of inevitability around her campaign.

If I were Clinton, I wouldn’t want my candidacy to go the same way as Mondale’s; Mondale, of course, only taking 13 electoral votes to Reagan’s 525, and losing the popular vote 60% to 40%.
