National Review received an email about this story, which apparently has been going around the web. The article, claiming to be from CNN, reports that MEChA (Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan) is claiming responsibility for the California wildfires.

But the article isn’t real. If you check out the url, the domain is “cnnheadlinenews.com”. That’s not CNN’s website or affiliate. Jonah Goldberg writes:

It looks to me like the creators of this site weren’t trying to make a joke. It’s not a parody, it’s just simply disgusting.

Indeed.
