I’m kidding, right? Um, no. As part of its “Rebel With A Cause” clip, it highlights teens taking part in the BDS group “World Can’t Wait”. They’re seen protesting the war, “taking on the government”, and protesting in Gitmo-style outfits. To examine how extremist-Left this group is, Communist literature is literally sold and touted at their rallies. Mao’s red book is a popular commodity at the book store. Ernesto “Che” Guevara shirts are in plain sight. Their belief is that Bush is not only a criminal, but a terrorist. You can purchase “9/11 was an Inside Job” bumper stickers.
Allah points out:
I’m trying to think of a right-wing analog to WCW to communicate the absurdity of seeing this on kids’ TV. The Birchers? Maybe Vlaams Belang? You wouldn’t even need to go extreme to get the left in a froth about political indoctrination of kids. Try running a three-minute segment of Rush Limbaugh or Bill O’Reilly talking about open borders and see what happens. You’d have to duck and cover from the blast.
Indeed. But for a far-Leftist (you can’t even call it just a Left group), it’s simply “fighting the man”. It’s “using your rights to express your opinion”. Let’s see a Conservative kid get on there and talk about border enforcement or S-CHIP. Yeah, right.
Contain your shock that they’re from Berkeley. More at Michelle’s.
