Seattle’s Mayor Greg Nickels decided to use the annual “holiday tree” lighting ceremony to preach the gospel of Al Gore to kids, telling them that Santa Claus and his reindeer will die from the melting ice caps if we don’t start using energy-efficient light bulbs. He then proceeded to hand out said bulbs. I kid thee not.
