Register Debate A Bit Different for Democrats

by Stephan Tawney on December 13, 2007

I’ve been watching today’s debate in Iowa on and off, but have already noticed that today’s debate for the Democrats is a bit different than yesterday’s for Republicans. First of all, remember how Schoolmarm was keeping on top of alloted time, interrupting them even if they weren’t done yet? Yeah, today’s candidates pretty much get to talk until they’re done.

Schoolmarm also appears cheerier today. Whereas yesterday she was, er, Schoolmarm, today she’s like the non-evil twin version. Michelle:

Richardson gets another hour to bloviate. I’m getting the feeling Schoolmarm is a Richardson fan…

More free statements. This whole “debate” has been a free statement forum for the Democrats.

More Richardson. Schoolmarm giggles again.

Since then she’s again full of giggles:

Bill Richardson is talking about air conditioning.

Schoolmarm: Sen. Dodd, can you try that (question) in 30 seconds. Giggle!

Look who’s little Mary Sunshine now that it’s the Democrats. I don’t like in Iowa, so pretty much know nothing about the editorial board. I’m told by fellow Hot Air commenters, however, that it’s very liberal. No surprise there. You can also find updates at Hot Air.

UPDATES:

  • Hillary asks Schoolmarm if there’s going to be a “raise your hand” about global warming “Cuz the Republicans didn’t do such a good job. We believe it is a problem!”. Schoolmarm’s answer? “I’m not doing that today”.
  • Schoolmarm is just so gosh darn polite today, compared to her Wicked Witch attitude yesterday. “We have to move on, I’m afraid”.
  • Oh, Schoolmarm is laughing it up.
