I know it’s been many hours since, but this is my first time today at a wi-fi accessible computer. She had stuck herself up above her SUV’s sunroof, when two shots went off. She fell back into the car, having been shot in the neck and chest. Almost immediately afterwards, a bomb went off killing another 22. Since there’s not much I can say, I’ll simply post important links.

UPDATE: The Attorney General of Pakistan says holding elections “not possible” in the current climate. Additionally, paramilitary troops have been sent to all major Pakistani cities, with flights being canceled.

UPDATE: Upwards of 40 protesters/rioters dead, according to Fox News. Rioting and unrest expected to get worse at daybreak.

UPDATE: Crazy Uncle RP is on Fox now. This is where RP truly shines for idiots.

UPDATE: The assassination occurs just one day after Bhutto’s Pakistan People’s Party took their fundraising online. (Via Bob McCarty)

UPDATE: Bhutto’s husband has arrived. Bryan has video of Crazy Uncle RP on Fox.

UPDATE: Candidate Reactions.

UPDATE: In case she was ever assassinated, her U.S. spokesman was to release a statement from her. CNN’s Wolf Blitzer read (part of?) it on air. She apparently places much blame on Musharraf for not enough security. Pakistan’s Ambassador to the U.S. says tinted windows wouldn’t have stopped what happened to her, as she was outside of the vehicle.

UPDATE: On the scene at Bhutto’s home. Dow Falls Nearly 200 Points. CNN’s Zain Verjee says Bhutto was in a tinted car, and her party’s officials said she was receiving the security that was required.

UPDATE: A Getty photographer says he heard three shots. CNN reports she was given an “open heart massage” at the local hospital, but couldn’t be saved. Her last word was “Allah”.
