Huck’s Website Disagrees With Him on Constitution

by Stephan Tawney on January 18, 2008

If you haven’t see the video of Huckabee’s brief interview with CNN’s John Roberts, please do so. In it, Huckabee claims the Constitution is a “living, breathing” document, after having noted he wishes to bring it in line with the word of God. One eency, weency problem. Technicality, really. His website? Disagrees.

I firmly believe that the Constitution must be interpreted according to its original meaning, and flatly reject the notion of a “living Constitution.”

So which one is it, Huck? Is it, or is it not, a living document? You can’t have it both ways, although I’m sure you wish you could.
