“All we need to do is act, and the time for action is now.”
Are you a Republican planning to vote in the Potomac Primary today? Want the party to win in November? Then the time for action is now, folks. If you can, switch your party affiliation and vote for Hillary Clinton today.
“Did your mother drop you on your head as a baby, Brennan? Or maybe you’d like to hand me some of what you’re smoking.”
No. As I’ve stated before, Hillary Clinton as our Democratic opponent presents the best strategic situation for us come November. That was confirmed in a post at Hot Air today. Byron York wrote at the National Review:
A few days ago, I asked an experienced Democratic strategist this question: Given everything that has happened in the campaign so far, is there any foreseeable scenario under which Hillary Clinton wins the nomination and black Democrats say, ‘Well, Obama ran a good race, but she won it fair and square’”? The strategist said, no, there is no such scenario. The damage has already been done, and if Obama is defeated by the votes of superdelegates loyal to the Clintons, Democrats will be a party plagued by divisions far more serious than anything Republicans are experiencing now.
Now I know many of you have stated “I can never vote for Hillary”. But see, the goal isn’t to vote for Hillary. It’s to vote against Obama and for the Republican Party’s chances in ’08.
So, as Ace says in his post:
So we’ve got to put lipstick on this pig ASAP, guys. Switch your party registration, tell a friend, vote early and often.
Update: I’ve actually spoken to several people (conservatives) living in today’s states, and they intend to do just that: crossover. Many commenters over at Ace’s are on board as well. Here’s my favorite from his thread:
I live in Cleveland, and I am definitely picking up the Democrat primary ballot on March 4. With Romney gone I have no reason to vote Republican. I will never cast a vote for Huckabee, and I refuse to vote for McCain more than the one time I must. Switching over and voting for Hillary is a slam dunk for me. My whole family is on board and we are trying to convince every conservative we know to pull a John Kerry and vote for Hillary before we vote against her.
A close second:
Sheesh. I’m waiting to receive my voter registration confirmation here in TX, because I’m going to have to do this absentee. I’m going to have to have an exorcism performed after I do this, mind you…
