Shocker: Kerry Lies…Again

by Stephan Tawney on March 12, 2008

In a joint production with Hot Air, Jason Mattera caught up with Sen. John Kerry (D-Wafflesville) in the halls of Congress. He wanted to know about the Winter Soldier II events beginning tonight. Kerry is an expert in the field of smearing troops with unsubstantiated claims, so he’d probably be one to ask about it.

Surprise, surprise: Kerry lies.

MATTERA: Do you think that they will make slanderous accusations–accusing the troops of raping women, pillaging villaging, just like you did to the Fulbright committee?

KERRY: Uh, I didn’t make those.

The video cuts to an audio bit from Kerry smearing the troops, claiming they raped women, pillaged villages, and much more.

KERRY: I proposed–I gave them to the committee because I felt that they ought to be investigated and that’s exactly what I said. These are the–many of those charges, incidentally, were subsequently verified by different entities.

Slate: No criminal charges were filed as a result of any of the [Army’s Criminal Investigative Division] investigations into Winter Soldier.

Slate: Much of the testimony that will be heard during the three days could not be corroborated by the Free Press in the ten days it had to run down each account.

Moving onward:

MATTERA: Does it bother you that the North Vietnamese created a memorial dedicated to you?

KERRY: It’s not dedicated to me.

Actually, it is.

At the Communists War Remnants Museum in Ho Chi Minh City, John Kerry’s picture hangs in a section dedicated to the anti-war activists who helped the Vietnamese Communists win the Vietnam War.

But then we already knew Kerry’s a liar, didn’t we?
