The Messiah’s Pastor on Israel

by Stephan Tawney on March 17, 2008

When The Wall Street Journal compiled a list of quotes from Rev. Jeremiah Wright — Obama’s pastor, political ally, moral guidance counselor, and apparently crazy uncle — I found a quote or two that troubled me about the Reverend’s stance on Israel. This confirms my suspicions that he’s, shall we say, less-than-supportive of the Jewish state. Watch as you learn that “Israel” is a dirty word and much more.

Exit question: Is Wright a politically more dangerous version of Theresa Kerry?

Update: Good Lord.

Sometime between April 2006 and today, the church Barack Obama has attended for 20 years, Trinity United Church of Christ, quietly edited the “About Us” page of their web site, removing their statement of commitment to “the Black Value System written by the Manford Byrd Recognition Committee chaired by Vallmer Jordan in 1981.”

Number 8 on the list?
