Slow News Day Afternoon Links

by Stephan Tawney on April 1, 2008

It’s kind of a slow news day (Mugabe’s potential resignation being an exception), so here’s a few quick links for good measure.

  • Frank J. makes USA Today. That’s just wrong, folks. (Via InstaGlenn)
  • Ted Turner finds Jesus. This after calling his Ash Wednesday-celebrating employees “Jesus freaks”. (Via HA Headlines)
  • In the end, Baghdad Jim was forced to pay up. He now owes John Boehner $1 million+ dollars.
  • Sadr spins a defeat into a victory. Too many more “victories” for him, and he’ll be out of fighters.
  • Russia and the U.S. will sign a strategic pact on April 6th. While the missile shield is mentioned, it’s not yet clear in exactly what context.
  • You know who Obama reminds Alice Walker of? Mandela. How long before the Chicago Democrat is actually compared to Jesus?
  • Our girl’s lead in Pennsylvania down to just 5%? What’s going on?
  • Bush will legally bypass over 30 regulations in order to finally complete the fence on the Southern Border.
