Hillary Takes 20 Point Lead in Pennsylvania?

Some are skeptical since it’s one poll, but it’s not exactly an outlier. SurveyUSA from 4 days ago had her ahead by 18 points. Since then, Obama’s had to deal with his referring to small towners as Bible-thumping, gun-grabbing bigots, so it’s not really an outrageous result.

Clinton        57%
Obama        37%

Take special note of the poll’s demographic breakdown. Clinton is preferred amongst white voters by a margin of 64-29. Meanwhile, Obama fairs the best amongst African-American voters, leading 79-18.

Clinton leads 52% to 43% among voters age 18 to 49 (50% of likely Democratic primary voters) and Clinton leads 62% to 31% among voters age 50 and older.

As for Barack Obama’s flooding the state with advertising, it seems to be backfiring.

23% of likely Democratic primary voters say that excessive exposure to Obama’s advertising is causing them to support Clinton.
