FreedomsWatch: Pelosi Is Out of Touch

by Stephan Tawney on April 29, 2008

When Democrats were elected the majority in November ’06, the average price of a gallon of gas was $2.25. Nancy Pelosi, along with her colleagues on the left, presented what they called a common sense plan to bring down gas prices.

2 years later, the average price of gas in the United States is now $3.61 per gallon. In Pelosi’s own home district, you can often find that number topping $4.

But apparently Nancy, who often talks about other people being “out of touch”, doesn’t seem to be aware of that. In an April 24, 2008 interview with CNN’s Larry King, Pelosi claimed the national average is now…$2.56. As of April 21st, gas was already at an average of $3.508.

Who’s “out of touch”, Nancy?
