If there’s one lesson Democrats should’ve learned about presidential politics, it’s that you should keep Waffles as quiet as possible. From the man who brought you, “I voted for it, before I voted against it” comes this. Kerry was on MSNBC a little while ago, lying about Obama’s position on meeting countries like Iran.

Kerry claimed that Obama didn’t necessarily support presidential-level talk. “That’s why you have a Secretary of State, that’s why you have ambassadors.”

Really, Senator? Let’s check the record, shall we? In a New York Times interview, Obama discussed his plans.

Senator Barack Obama said he would “engage in aggressive personal diplomacy” with Iran if elected president, and would offer economic inducements and a possible promise not to seek “regime change” if Iran stopped meddling in Iraq and cooperated on terrorism and nuclear issues…

Making clear that he planned to talk to Iran without preconditions, Mr. Obama emphasized further that “changes in behavior” by Iran could possibly be rewarded with membership in the World Trade Organization, other economic benefits and security guarantees…

Mr. Obama’s willingness to conduct talks at the highest level with Iran … differs significantly from the Bush administration.

Not enough? How about Obama’s own official campaign website?

Obama is the only major candidate who supports tough, direct presidential diplomacy with Iran without preconditions.

Maybe Waffles should actually know what Obama has said he plans to do. You know, before opening his mouth and looking like an idiot.
