He tries to spin away Obama’s clearly naive position on foreign policy, but it doesn’t work. He tries to say Obama wants to speak to “Iranian leadership”, but hasn’t talked about speaking with Ahmadinejad. As Ed Morrissey explains, Ahmadinejad is a straw man for the Guardian Council. By meeting with him, Obama would be bolstering Ahmandinejad’s standing.

If there’s any question left, keep this video in mind. When asking if Obama would meet with the leaders of Iran, Venezuela, etc., the questioner clearly showed pictures of Ahmadinejad, Chavez, et all.

Obama has a naive foreign policy position and his experienced supporters know it. Now they, along with Team Obama, are attempting to spin his policy as something completely contradictory to what the candidate himself has said.
