McClellan To Be on “Countdown”

Why not? His book reads as if it could’ve been written by Olberdouche, who gave him a scathing send-off when he resigned in ’06.

Predecessor Ari Fleischer, who served with McClellan as early as the 2000 presidential election, also can’t recall a time (before now) when McClellan said anything about his recent allegations.

“Well there’s just something about it that doesn’t make any sense, and I say that because Scott never once approached me publicly, privately, to express any misgivings.”

“I would think if he harbored such deep feelings about things he wouldn’t have and shouldn’t have accepted the press secretary job in the first place.”

“There are just parts of here that don’t sound like Scott McClellan.”

“It’s got his name on it and Scott knows that and he said the chips will fall wherever they may, that’s what he told me yesterday, but on principle and on policy this doesn’t make any sense to me because if it did, I think Scott would have expressed it privately and repeatedly.”

Amazing how none of McClellan’s former colleagues can recall a time when he expressed any concern about what he was doing in his role as Press Secretary. McClellan himself willingly took the job in ’03, not resigning his post until ’06. Again, not one word or resignation during the time he alleges concerns.
