Via Ed Morrissey, here’s a video featuring hometown criticism of Barack Obama’s excessive travels on the taxpayer’s dime, as well as his own admitted inexperience. He jokes about being assigned such measley tasks as sharpening pencils and admits he’s 98th in seniority.
Ed Morrissey points out that Obama spent about $10,000 more than any other freshman senator in his travels, racking up a $28,000 bill for visits to countries such as South Africa, Kenya, and Jordan.
Be sure to head over to Hot Air to check Obama’s stretching the truth in his first general election ad. As Politifact notes:
Obama’s “third claim on veterans health benefits is less clear… Obama was not a sponsor of the bill, and without more detail we can’t confirm whether he contributed to the law…” (06/23/08)
That’s just one example.
