Moronic Commissioner Says “Devil’s Food Cake” Racist, Too

by Stephan Tawney on July 10, 2008

This isn’t my first post on Commissioner John Wiley Price of Dallas, who is now inexplicably serving his sixth term in that office. The first time this moron was mentioned came when he was insulted that a fellow commissioner referred to the traffic ticket office as a “black hole”. Now most normal people would understand that Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield was referring to the object in space from which nothing escapes. But Price took it as a racist remark and shot back saying the office was, in fact, a “white hole”.

If we truly want to get technical, Price’s remark would actually be construed as a compliment for the office. There is such a think as a “white hole”, which is defined as a “celestial object that radiates enormous amounts of energy and matter”. Of course, that’s wasn’t Price’s intention with his remark.

So today Price apologized for overreacting to the use of a common-place analogy that he would’ve understood had he possessed a basic grasp of junior high science….Nah, just kidding. He stood by his remarks and now claims the terms “devil’s food cake”, “angel’s food cake”, and “black sheep” are also racist.

Seriously, how did this man get elected six times?
