Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert will not run for Kadima leadership and will resign his post after a new government is formed (must likely by the winner of the Kadima primary). Israel Matzav liveblogged the deliverance of his written notice:
He will not be a candidate in the Kadima primaries and will not interfere with them. He will accept their results. He is saying only a little of what he’s had in mind for months. When there is a new head of Kadima he will resign from office so that the new head can form a new government.
