Gallup: Obama Leads by Just Four

by Stephan Tawney on July 30, 2008

Barack Obama has just a four-point lead only 3 days after leading by nine, Gallup’s latest poll shows. What’s happening to HopenChange’s campaign?

After moving into a nine percentage point lead over John McCain in Gallup Poll Daily tracking of national registered voters this past weekend, Barack Obama now leads by just four points, 46% to 42%.

Take note of the sampling: registered voters. Obama tends to do better amongst registered voters than amongst likely voters, as you can see here. One has to wonder how he’s now faring amongst those likely to turnout in November.
