An excellent catch by Pamela of Atlas Shrugs. FEC records show at least one contribution to Barack Obama coming from Monir & Hosam Edwan in Rafah, GA. You’d think GA stands for the state of Georgia, right? It doesn’t. There is no Rafah in Georgia, but there is a Rafa refugee camp in Gaza.

It gets better:

The file attached has both Monir & Hosam Edwan.  Both from Rafah.  Both over allowed spending limit. Here is the file: Download EdwanDetail.xls. It details  Edwans’s contributions totalling $24,321.41.The contributions are all to Obama the candidate.  Different files for the party or committees.

Pamela intends to officially file a complaint with the Federal Election Commission. Debbie Schlussel is weighing in on the matter.

Update: Another point from Pamela’s comment section. The zipcode listed on the filings is “972″. There is no 972 zipcode in the United States, but it is the international phone country code for Israel.
