Obama Loses Lead, Now Tied with McCain

by Stephan Tawney on August 1, 2008

I said in my last post that I’d have information on how this whole race card/victim/world citizen schpeel has worked out for Obambi. Well, here we are. Just days after leading John McCain by 9 points, Barack Obama’s position has been reduced to a tie.

Gallup’s daily tracking poll from July 29-31 shows the two presumptive nominees tied at 44%, with 6% having no opinion. What’s more, the poll measures registered — not likely — voters, which tend to give Obama an advantage.

It’s been said that this is Barack Obama’s election to lose. While it’s a while till November, it would seem that he’s thus far succeeding to do so beyond anyone’s wildest imaginations.
