As I posted earlier, Republicans are back on the House floor today to discuss the issue on the minds (and wallets) of most Americans: gas prices. Democrats decided to adjourn the session without discussing any real solution, but that’s not going to stop Republicans from talking about it.
Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-Mich) isn’t there today, but he was one of the original uprisers on Friday. His staff reports:
Staff reports House chamber is the place to be. People are excited/ energized.
Robert Bluey of Heritage is livetwittering:
Rep. Peter Roskam said he drove his kids back to D.C. and got in at 3 a.m. Now that’s dedication.
Indeed. Bluey also links to a picture of Rep. Roskam talking to visitors.
Meanwhile, House Republicans have penned a letter to Nancy Pelosi, simply asking for an up or down vote on domestic drilling.
Stay tuned.
Update: Robert Bluey writes:
Michigan is holding a primary election tomorrow, but Rep. Tim Walberg is here.
