Former Senator John Edwards has admitted to having an extramarital affair with Rielle Hunter, though he continues to insist her baby isn’t his.

Edwards today admitted the National Enquirer was correct when it reported he had visited Hunter at the Beverly Hills Hilton last month.

So his family became aware of the affair in 2006 and the baby couldn’t have been his because it was born in February ‘08 and the affair had already ended. So, uh, why was he sneaking around to spend hours in a hotel with his “old” girlfriend?
