Shortly after Drudge cited sources saying that Barack Obama was prepared to announce his running mate, Mark Halperin of Time wrote a post entitled “Oh, Matt!!!”. The post reported Drudge’s scoop that Obama is prepared to announce, but said his sources are inaccurate.

Not so much.

So, just like that, Halperin’s post is gone without a trace. Label me shocked. Halperin is the same reporter who, while working for ABC News, said Bush and Kerry shouldn’t be held equally accountable. He claimed that both lied, but that Kerry didn’t make it as important a part of his campaign. The first news source to publish the internal memo with Halperin’s directions? *Cough*
