I’m not ignoring the news, but I am skeptical. First of all, as Allah notes, the supposed sticker noticeably lacks any of Obama’s now-famous markings. Would Team Obama really attempt to rebrand the campaign, ditching the well-known “O” logo for a generic design?
Second of all, would Obamassiah really go with Bayh? Bayh voted for the war in Iraq, which Obama has spent both the primary and general campaigns painting as the worst foreign policy judgment in history. Then again, Biden also supported the war and he’s a known front-runner for the nod.
Finally, Bayh would indicate the end of the currentl lines of attack we’re seeing coming from Obama’s campaign. His wife has extensive ties to corporate America (including pharmaceutical and insurance companies), he’s voted for measures that have helped her interests to the point that the left-leaning CREW is suspicious, and they’re not exactly poor.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama picks Bayh, but I’m not placing any bets yet.
