So in the end, Joe Biden was officially announced as His Majesty’s running mate at 4AM this morning after most of the world already knew the night before. How badly did Team Obama’s “First to Know” text message stunt fail? Let’s put it this way: Team McCain already has an ad out by 6 this morning.

How the hell did Obama end up with Biden? He’s an old white guy that’s more of a Washington insider than McCain, voted for what is supposedly the worst judgment error in foreign policy history, already attacked his new partner as too inexperienced, has racist statements on the record, and is more prone to gaffes than Barack “57 States” Obama himself. What, was John Edwards not available?

How far is this going to go in soothing over Hillary’s disenchanted Democratic supporters? Obambi managed to pass over a woman who received 18 million votes for a guy that barely pulled in single digits. Wow.
