With McCain set to announce his VP tomorrow but sources saying the decision will be leaked around 6pm today, this can do nothing but fuel speculation that McCain’s chosen Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty.

Ambinder wonders why McCain continuously praises Tom Ridge, but that’s not really something unique for Maverick. If you watched the Saddleback forum, you’ll remember the strong praise he offered for Meg Whitman, former eBay CEO and oft-mentioned VP option. He’s also effusively praised Lieberman — another top VP choice — on more than one occasion.
