Teresa Kerry: John Won in 2004

by Stephan Tawney on August 28, 2008

An interesting (and ridiculous, of course) accusation, considering that Kerry conceded the race with his campaign acknowledging that he lost it. If Teresa Kerry truly believes the election was stolen, why did her husband concede the very next day, refusing to contest it?

This convention, Ms. Heinz Kerry said, is “full of meaning and full of opportunity, and if you, as I, believe, and I know a lot of you do, we did not lose the last election, nor did Al Gore lose his last election. We won it.”

As Politico’s Ben Smith notes, significantly fewer Dems believe Kerry actually won in 2004 than think Gore won in 2000.
