Holy crap. Apparently lefties are trotting this out with the assertion that this is Todd Palin learning about his wife’s win as mayor of Wassila in 1996. Wow.
First of all, this looks absolutely nothing like Todd Palin. The guy in the tape, allegedly from 12 years ago, has gray hair and is noticeably older. Here’s Todd Palin today. Is it possible he colored his hair? Sure, but that doesn’t change the fact that this guy looks nothing like him and was older “12 years ago” than Todd is today. Second, how scripted does this sound? How many times do you have to keep saying “Bristol” in a two person conversation? As Ace parodies:
Bristol? Bristol? Daddy wants you to turn that camera off as daddy spills out his deepest psychic scars about inadequacy and emasculation. Wait, Bristol, you’re not turning it off? You’re going to keep on recording Bristol? Okay, Bristol, then I’ll keep going in this absurdist dramatic monologue.
Did I ever tell you about the time I murdered a drifter with a can-opener and jumper cables, Bristol? I have? Oh, that’s right, Bristol. Last Christmas. Yes, I remember now, Bristol.
It’s really freakin pathetic, but it’s apparentlty being pushed by the same guy that served as Alan Colmes’ source for the pre-natal care “scandal”. Even lefties in the comment sections of YouTube aren’t believing it.

After it became clear that I was in the distinct minority in believing the video might not be a hoax, I started emailing around Alaska to see if I could find someone who knew what Todd Palin looked like in the mid-’90s. The aforementioned Andrew Halcro watched it and sent this response: “Not only fake but insulting.” I am a gullible dork.
