I think what she is trying to say, is that prophesy is coming true…Read the Bible. It tells us what exactly will happen in the end of times.

I’m a`liberal Democrat, and a more than liberal Catholic theologian. I believe that BOTH SIDES in any divisive struggle must strive for the truth and acknowledge their mistakes and deliberate distortions of the truth.

I watched the interview and became righteously indignant at Palin’s narrowness. Watched it again,along with a video of her remarks,a few days later. I was` stunned to realize how badly her words had been distorted by taken out of context; and by how well I thought she handled the situation. I’ve written to one big newspaper about it; and am working on an op-ed piece to send my local, which occasionally uses my stuff.

Hey, genius? He didn’t. In fact, liberal columnist Kirsten Powers ripped him for it today.

“Sorry, Charlie – let’s go to the tape.

In the video of her remarks, Palin says “Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [US soldiers] out on a task that is from God.” She is clearly praying for wisdom for our national leaders – praying that they are following God’s will.

This is Christianity 101, not some fundamentalist plot to wage a holy war. Presumably, Obama, as a Christian, utters similar prayers for our country as well. ”

Even the Huffington Post knows that Gibson didn’t read the full quote — they had the right one. Oh, and ABC News edited out the bit for the west coast broadcast from what I understand.
