I think it’s safe to say that Obama never figured that he’d be in the position he’s in at this point and didn’t figure he’d have to overcome a McCain lead. His campaign’s gotten desparate and is now resorting to attacking a man who’s explained why he doesn’t use the computer much for the past 8 years. Today we learn that Obama’s Bill Burton won’t deny that he knew about McCain’s reason for not using it much.

Their line of argument is stupid anyway. An 7-year-old can sit in front of the computer playing Neopets for hours, assuming he wasn’t tortured so badly for 5 1/2 years that it hurts to use the keyboard too much. That doesn’t mean that he understands the internet’s role in our nation’s economy. McCain can completely understand how important the internet is without having to have a character in Second Life.
