Democrats Use Tragic Death to Advance Political Cause

by Stephan Tawney on September 16, 2008

I eagerly await the stern condemnations by MSNBC over the Democrats’ disgusting, despicable use of the dead for political purposes. You know, like it did when Republicans dared to play a tribute to the victims of 9/11 at the Republican National Convention. Surely Olbermann isn’t just some political hack with a double-standard, right?

On a side note, in which universe would a Minnesota Senator standing up to the president have stopped a the war in Iraq? H.J.Res. 114 was passed by a margin of 296-133 in the House and 77-23 in the Senate. Is the argument really that President Bush and 76 other Senators (including 29 Democrats) would’ve decided against war if Norm Coleman voted NO? They didn’t care when Sen. Lincoln Chafee (R-RI) did.

There are plenty of counter adds where parents of soldiers killed want the USA to win. Air those adds and hear libs sniffle and howl.
