Except, of course, that the sampling is skewed. The latest poll sampled fewer Independents — a group McCain has been doing well with — and more Democrats. The last poll’s Dem/GOP/Ind breakdown was, according to Allah, 36.8/30.6/32.5. The latest is 40.6/31.6/27.8. That’s a significant difference and most certainly contributes to the outlier results.
