More of Biden’s Inaccuracies & Misleading Statements

There’s quite a few. Let’s take this apart bit-by-bit.

  • Biden Claims U.S. Spending in Iraq for One Month Exceeds Our Spending in Afghanistan Since 2001

In fairness, he’s only off by about 2,000%. According to the CRS, we’ve spent $172 Billion in Afghanistan since the beginning of that war. As Democrats (including Biden) repeatedly point out, we spend about $10 billion a month in Iraq. Note to Biden: $10 billion is not more than $172 billion.

  • Biden Claims We Kicked Hezbollah out of Lebanon

Someone should tell Hezbollah. We didn’t kick Hezbollah out of Lebanon and even Reuters calls the statement a “major gaffe”.

  • Biden Claims McCain Voted Against the Violence Against Women Act

While accurate, it’s a bit misleading. It sounds as if McCain voted against VAWA because he isn’t interested in protecting women. In fact, the Supreme Court ruled in United States v. Morrison that much of Biden’s legislation was an unconstitutional power grab.

  • Biden Claims that Every Other Republican Voted For the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty, While McCain Voted Against It

“Every Republican” hasn’t supported the treaty. 49 Republican Senators voted with McCain against the resolution.

  • Biden Claims that Pakistan Can Hit Israel With a Nuclear Weapon

2,085 miles separate Pakistan from Israel. The longest range weapon in Pakistan’s arsenal can make it just 1,000 miles. He’s only off by about 1,085 miles.
