Since the media has a newfound interest in researching people’s tax liens (Just ask Joe the Plumber), perhaps they can look into this one. It would seem that Obama campaign treasurer Martin Nesbitt has tax liens. As do his companies.
One would think that the treasurer of Obama’s campaign having tax liens would be more important than a guy who asked Obama a question. One would not be The One’s media cheerleaders.
Heh:
Because, you know, associations matter when choosing a plumber, but apparently not when choosing a President.
Indeed.

What about Rangel ? If he doesn’t have tax liens, why not ?

fox news is too fair and balanced. we need our own msnbc. a conservative one. and our own snl. and our own sixy minutes. and our own late night talk show with comedy monologue.
I think there would be real money in it, no?

Is he complaining about paying the taxes? Did he fabricate a story about buying a company which he cannot afford? Did John McCain say that he won the debate? Did John McCain mention him over 20 times during the debate?
People are more interested in Joe because he made up a question to ask Obama. McCain’s idiot strategists made him use the guy’s situation as a talking point during the debate, though they never verified Joe’s story. Of course, the fact that Joe owes back taxes (under the Bush tax plan) makes the news. No one cares about Obama’s campaign treasurer.

No, he’s just in charge of the hundreds of millions of dollars that hard-working Americans are send Obama believing their money is in good hands.
First of all, Joe never said he could afford the company right now. He said that he wanted to and discussed the American dream. I don’t recall a timeline mentioned. And of course you’ve looked over Joe’s finances to conclude that he can’t afford the company.
“Of course, the fact that Joe owes back taxes (under the Bush tax plan) makes the news.”
But the fact that Obama’s been listed as a member of the socialist New Party doesn’t. Do you get dizzy from that spin?

“No one cares about Obama’s campaign treasurer.”
Well they dam sure ought to! Aside from showing the media bias, demonstrates that even those with good incomes are having trouble paying their taxes, which are quite high when you add in all the ways we are taxed…Federal, State, local government, sales tax, property tax, utility tax, license fees, capital gains, inheritance, and on and on and on. High earners already pay a disproportionate share…but what the hell, let’s make it higher.
And another thing (don’t you love rants), why should government employees be exempt from layoffs (down-sizing) when budgets are tight. If unemployment hits 8%, as some have predicted, then 8% of government employees should be out of work also.
Lastly, company paid health care benefits (and many other perks) ARE earnings (same as if they were paid wages), and should….NO, must…be taxed like those without company paid benefits.

It should be quite clear that Obama has a very difficult time in choosing friends and associates who are up standing citizens with clean records: Campaign Treasurer, Ayres and the list goes on. To me this is a good indication that he, if elected, will continue his disregard for upright people to surround him. This in turn give me great freight just thinking of his being elected. If he is the security of the American way of life and liiving is in great danger. And I am not surprised because just look where he came from: corrupt Chicago, going back a number of decades!!!

Ameripundit, let’s not forget about the Millions of those dollars that are coming from foreigners who are making $200 contributions so they do not have to reveal their indentity. Hum, I wonder which foreign countries would have an interest in Obama becoming President of the most powerful nation in the world. C’mon, Wake up America! Watch Fox news Sunday night at 9PM and hear what Mainstream media is covering up from the American people.

The Boston Globe published a very interesting article in June of this year about Obama’s ties to private development of affordable housing and how he provided them funding either as a State Senator or as Chairman of the Woods Foundation. You have to read it to believe it. All the major players in his campaign are there – Nesbitt (who is also the head of the Chicago Housing Authority), Valerie Jarret, Tony Rezko, Allison Davis, and many others.
Probably the funniest line was where Obama said he wanted to take profits from Fannie and Freddie and use them to provide more private development funding for affordable houseing. Oops – guess that ship has sailed, since Fannie and Freddie are broke! Not only that, but when you read about the deplorable conditions of these developments due to lack of maintenance, after the developers walked away with the money the government provided, you realize that you don’t want Obama anywhere near the U.S. Treasury.
I hope some industrious bloggers pick up on this newpaper report and start sending it around.

The title of the article is “Grim Proving Ground for Obama’s Housing Policy.” It appreared in the Boston Globe on June 28, 2008, and was written by Binyamin Applebaum.
