An Overwhelming Number of Dems View Joe the Plumber Unfavorably

No surprise here. Joe supports the war in Iraq, isn’t afraid to throw a non-softball question at The Messiah, and has opposed his wealth destributionalism. I would’ve been surprised if 64% of Democrats hadn’t had unfavorable views of him.

A few interesting notes here, though. 63% of Americans under 30 actually agree with Obama’s “spread the wealth” plan. The middle class (making $40,000-100,000 a year) have the highest favorable view of Joe the Plumber, 52%-33%. Those making less than $40,000 and those with higher incomes don’t view him as favorably. 40% of those following the story agree with Obama’s remarks, while 47% oppose them. Overall, Joe’s numbers are 58% favorable and 37% unfavorable among those following the story.

I own a small business and if we get wealth distribution I will just slow down, lay off employees, offer the lowest cost health ins. plan I can get, etc.
