He’s concerned about McCain’s judgment, which is why the military man is endorsing the candidate who has no military history and got the much-needed surge completely wrong. Oh, and Obama’s judgment in associating with domestic terrorists (which Powell insists is limited) isn’t important. Judgment is important when it’s something McCain’s doing, but Obama can be excused apparently.
Was it about Barack Obama’s race? Of course. As Rush Limbaugh asks, where are the inexperienced, white liberals that Mr. Powell has endorsed? I’ve yet been able to find them. As for his supposed concern about the righward shift and conservatives appointing people, I guess it’s selective. It was because of conservatives appointing him that he became a four-star general and Secretary of State. It was because of conservative appointments that Powell’s son was appointed to the FCC. Here’s the hard truth, folks: Powell endorsed Obama because of race. I’ve lost a lot of respect for him today.

Yah its tough when some steps out of the ranks and speaks their own mind. For most of us this a a strength, not a weakness…

“Yah its tough when some steps out of the ranks and speaks their own mind. For most of us this a a strength, not a weakness…”
Like when Joe Lieberman stepped out of rank and spoke his own mind and the left called him a traitor? Or when Zell Miller endorsed Bush and was mercilessly trashed by the same people? It’s only considered a “strength”, apparently, when a Republican endorses a Democrat.
Powell has never felt compelled to endorse a liberal Democrat before. He has never had a problem with the conservatives appointing him or rightward turns in his life. Now a black candidate comes along and he endorses him and has a problem with conservative appointments.

Without a doubt in my mind the Powell endorsement is 100% race related. The is no other logical answer. Why does Powell even make an endorsement in the first place.

Generally speaking, I think Colin fell off his horse, hit his head on Iraq, and now dictates his endorsement. At a time when Barack Obama is being viewed and exposed as a loser — socialist/communist, for which he has had plenty of close frank mentoring; the general has really bent over to expose, well, Colin is now just an ass. Obama’s politics are so radically liberal the general is still right now stooped over — maybe this is a kiss-and-tell for both Obama and his Colin. Colin-asscopy anyone?
On a more serious note, vote John McCain. America is still a great country. If any can do it, we can encourage ourselves to do a whole lot better with free enterprise and capitalism. Let’s reject socialism and Obama.
Poll finds Americans reject redistribution of wealth as suggested by Barack Hussein Obama:
PRINCETON, NJ — When given a choice about how government should address the numerous economic difficulties facing today’s consumer, Americans overwhelmingly — by 84% to 13% — prefer that the government focus on improving overall economic conditions and the jobs situation in the United States as opposed to taking steps to distribute wealth more evenly among Americans.
Down with Barack Obama!
