A Path to Victory for McCain

by Stephan Tawney on October 22, 2008

Don’t listen to the talking heads and liberal advocates in the media. There is still a path to victory for McCain and it doesn’t require divine intervention. Dan Riehl lays it out:

First of all, if McCain can carry the following five swing states, in which he’s down by less than three: Florida (-2), Ohio (-2.8), Nevada (-2.3), North Carolina (-1.5), and Missouri (-2.7). If he can carry those and win Pennsylvania (which recent polling and supposed insider Democratic insider polls suggest is possible), he’ll take home 273 electoral votes. He could forget about Virginia, Colorado, New Mexico, or the rest.

So, what can you do?

Donate to PACs

The first of which is Our Country Deserves Better, which is busy running ads in battleground states and has been working in the much-needed Nevada. Their ads are connecting Obama to Ayers, Wright, etc. In fact, the latest Nevada poll has it tied up, which Our Country rightfully deserves partial credit for.

Second up is American Issues Project, which is going after Obama and Congressional Liberals on the current economic crisis. Their latest ad points to the Democratic role in the Fannie and Freddie crisis. Excellent.

Finally, send some dough over to Let Freedom Ring, which is busy running a whole slew of effective ads on topics from Obama’s judgment to the financial crisis.

It’s not over yet. We still have 12 days and we need to make the best out of them. McCain has come from behind before and can do it again. Don’t give up now.

Spread the Word

It doesn’t matter if it’s your Aunt Petunia in Boca Raton or your co-worker, spread the word about Barack Obama’s bad policies and judgment. Mention the “spread the wealth” remark, bring up William Ayers, remind them of Jeremiah Wright, point out his association with ACORN, etc.. The most powerful medium is word-of-mouth by people voters know. Have an email list? Use it. Find damning videos of Obama on YouTube and send the link around. Spread the word every way you can (legally).

VOTE! VOTE! VOTE!

Don’t be fooled: Part of the left’s goal is to demoralize McCain supporters into thinking the election is over so they don’t have to vote. If you have to walk to the polling booth, do so. If you have a neighbor or co-worker who supports McCain but can’t get to the polling booth on November 4th, drive them on that day or have them vote early. Let people know that not voting isn’t acceptable.
