Even more audio damaging to Barack Obama has surfaced from 2001 Chicago Public Radio interviews. Via Drudge, here we find Barack Obama saying that the U.S. Constitution “reflected the fundamental flaw of this country that continues to this day”.

Not surprising to hear that he said something like that. Look where he went to church for so many years, he hung out with Ayers, he wants to “spread the wealth”, he’s always talking about how great this country is but then turns around and says we need “fundamental changes”. He is not proud of this country and if he wins the White House, which he probably will, it will be a shame….. How can someone who doesn’t love this country lead it?
Sen. Obama needs to reread the Constitution:
1.The Constitution DOES outline what the Federal government is to do for the people. Read the Preamble.
2. The teneth ammendment grants any powers not specifically given to the Federal government to the State or People.
3. The founders were visionary and humble enough to realize that their document was not “perfect” which is why we have the Ammendment process Article five.
4. His “redistribution of wealth” comments based on the civil rights movement are clearly a form of REPARATIONS for slavery and unjust treatment of Black Americans. As he clearly feels that 3 ammendments, equal rights and opportunnity is not enough.
News flash Sen. Obama….You are likely days away from being elected President. You are supposed to represent ALL americans not just Black Americans. Such an attitude will not only prevent the healing process from continuing but will unravel it.
You really can’t think of anything flawed about the constitution? What about the fact that slavess were considered 3/5 of a person. Some of you still think like that today. I’m glad “you people” are dying off generation after generation.
The founding fathers knew that absolute power corrupted absolutely, which is why they created the checks and balances in the Democratic system, and not the 2 part system existing in Socialist countries. Obama wants to implement the Prime Minister system in the US, which is what he sees as the flaw in the US Consitution. How can we elect anyone who does not pledge and promise to uphold the US Constitution and to defend it against all attacks? That is the oath of office that the US President takes on January 20th, the inauguration. But of course, the oath of office is taken with a hand on the Bible, which will be meaningless to a Muslim like Obama, so he will have no problem promising with his hand on the Bible, which is held sacred to Christians and Jews, but meaninless to Muslims.
Who in their right mind would decide by this audio what it is Obama is talking about and then make a judgement on him? The only ones I can think of are people who want to believe that whatever he is saying is bad even though it is not clear in this audio what it is he is talking about. The fact that this is a sound bite and not the entire statement tells me that if all of his statement is heard we would know what he is saying and why. The ones who want to make hay out of it cannot let us hear it all or they could not make the hay. Evil people are stirring among us. People who pander to the ignorant attempting to enflame them with sound bites and fill them with hatred. God help us for these people are destroying America and why they want to do this is beyond me.

well if anyone had had any doubts about Obama this should set off an alarm. He and his wife are out to give us change alright…change the very fundamentals that made this Country great – our CONSTITUTION, OUR BILL OF RIGHTS, Obama has attacked them both. He comes from a family that did anything to instil in him Traditional American values and respect for our democracy.

He will say anything and promise us the moon and yet somehow not have to raise taxes..yeah right . Once he is in office he will say – Look I am sorry but I will not be able to do what I said but here is what I can do with the help of barney Frank , Pelosie …I can raise taxes…increase the size of Gov. take away your right to bear arms, push through the late -third term abortions, redistribute your wealth, cozy up to the Muslim factions, and censor conservative radio and news by calling it hate speach..AND THAT IS IN HIS FIRST TERM
It is true what he said. However, anyone who has studied American History and government will know that the Founding Father’s knew that. They knew that society changes over time. Knowing that, they had provisions in the Constitution that allowed for change.
For example: Slavery use to exist in American. The Constitution was amended for remove slavery.
Another example: Only land owners age 21 and male could only originally vote. That was changed to allow women, those who did not own land and lowered the voted age to 18.
What Senator Obama is saying is that the ability to gain wealth should be easier in our country. Not Marxism, which by the way, wasn’t created until decades after the Constitution was written and signed.

Gee, are some of you people so blind that you only hear what you think you want to hear? Obama is talking about past injustice and the Civil Rights Movement and how the Courts are limited in correcting certain things from a Constitutional view. Obama was a Law professer, he is is speaking only in those terms. Has nothing to due with any socialist ideas what so ever.

He and Wm. Ayers didn’t like our capitalist education as expressed in a speech at a World Education Forum in Caracas, Venezela hosted by Hugo Chavez. He and Ayers worked together for radical reforms in Chicago, which might explain that we have to be careful singing Christmas songs but they can show a Malcom X movie to Middle School students. Then his long list of Arab friends, his acorn associations, intimidating banks for loans. Taking Frank Raines in as an advisor after he receives $90 million dollars in six years from Fannie Mae. Is this when he decided to spread the wealth around? No. That has been his goal for many years. He is a radical reformer that Americans need to be concerned about. Our freedoms are at risk.
The fundemental flaw is that it was written by wealthy white slave owners who did not include blacks as human beings, but as property. Whites acknowledge the jewish geniocide that Hitler initiated, but try to deny the slavery geniocide that was done by the founders of this country.

I suspect that the strategically edited snippet’s lack of context was intentional. Could he have been speaking of the Constitution’s reference to one vote per white man and 3/5 of a vote to all others? White supremacists aside, most people today feel that that provision was indeed flawed. Let’s hear the entire clip before we pass judgment, eh?
This would appear to be a flaw to someone who agrees with the socialist ideal. Not to say that socialism and wealth redistribution is inherently wrong, but it’s not what THIS country is meant to be. the founers had a common vision and appropriately formed the document to reflect what this country was and is to be, not socialist. there are socialist places in this world, that welcome people to come contribute to and enjoy the socialist way of life. we do not need to make another one, just because american socialists do not wish to move. a quick note, that socialism at face value is the ideal way that people could live with one another in a utopian environment, and have everyone’s needs met and noone’s exceeded, but again that’s not what THIS country is meant for. This country is for people who want to try their hand at exceeding there needs and earning comfort. The only vantage point that would yield an opinion that there’s a blind spot in our constitution, is that of someone who’s not or does not wish to be “american”. shouldn’t the hords of stupid people shove their fat behinds in the voting booth and elect someone who is and wishes to be “american”?

The Constitution is a great document; but it reflects the environment of that period of time, has the property, especial property, that like the Holy Book can adapt to different times and people.

Obama was pointing out that the framers of the Constitution neglected the notion that non-whites had any “moral worth” and that that idea continues in the US to this day. If you look at yourselves, you might just get a sense of the truth of that claim. The rest of your ranting about socialism, etc, is off the mark; and simply shows that none of you took the time to go to YouTube and hunt out the full version of this clip. You want to be deceived. Obama has variously been painted as a messiah (meaning a judao-christian leader), a socialist (meaning one who believes in a social contract between the government and all citizens), a marxist (meaning one who believes in total state control of the economy), an arab (meaning one with citizenship or descent from the arabian countries), a muslim (meaning one who believes in the prophet Mohammed and the Koran), a terrorist (meaning one who uses violence and the threat of violence to coerce a political outcome), and so on and on and on. The shadows of virtually every bogeyman of the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries has been cast on this man for you all to see him through. Yet none of them are consistent. He cannot be all of the above.
So, to Obama’s real point, do you all think, for example, that when the Declaration of Independence says “we hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal” that all the signers really meant “all men”? What do you think by “all men” when you think about that? Don’t you believe that some men have greater inherent moral worth than others, and that they may have been born that way?

that’s why there have been admendments to it… i guess all of those that suggested and agreed to the admentments are of the same belief obams is. obiously it has been flawed from the start. i have to admit that it is the best that has ever been written to last so long and i would think very hard against changing it,,,,,,, so again,, what are the people suggesting here?
My interpretation of these comments is this. Obama refers to the founding fathers reasoning for drafting the constitution at all, that is the need for it. He’s expressing that there was a need in this country for the constitution, because politicians are corrupt, and they don’t help the majority. It is flawed, all governments are, stop thinking like the US is so much better. You have to keep working and and working and a piece of paper doesn’t help you unless people follow the fu**ing rules!
The fundamental flaw in this country is political favoritism to the rich and connected, that YES continues to this day in spite of the constitution. And it is flawed and it’s being exploited by Cheney, Bush and plenty of others who don’t follow rule of Law.
I’m sick of people talking about “redistribution of wealth” That’s not what tax breaks means. Everyone is free to earn whatever they can, and guess what, you earn by providing services to the masses. And the masses pay for it when they have money. Trickle down wealth doesn’t work, we know this. It’s where the rich drink the champagne and then piss all over the poor. If it worked, we wouldn’t arguing about it.
And I think you all need to start thinking outside your own parties for a real solution if you don’t want redistribution of wealth and if you are suddenly “constitutionalists” because McCain ain’t a Constitutionalist. You need to vote Bob Barr and you missed your shot at Ron Paul, Kucinich too. Had you paid attention you could have done that. On the other hand, Ron Paul’s system will NOT protect you from huge fluxuations in the markets and social unrest. Shrug me off if you want, but the government is able to pad and protect, even if they seem like dumbasses much of the time.
If you want to REALLY not be taxed, then work on things that will make everyone in this country energy independence and making peace with other countries. And then work on ways to help people from ruining things for everyone else. Nobody is stopping you from solving a ton of problems waiting to be solved. Since most of you are probably just as likely to be corrupt given enough power, I’ll take my chances with Obama for now, since he’s been given a lot of weight of responsibility at this point and I think he’ll want to deliver. Obama is correct. The Constitution does contain a fundamental flaw. In fact it contains more than one. 1) It did not recognize that people of color had the same rights as white people and it did not protect those rights. 2) It granted the right to vote only to men and excluded women. People of color were also excluded becuase they were not even considered to be “men”. 3) The Constitution permitted the condition of slavery.
Since then, those three flaws have been legally corrected by Amendments but there is still racism all over this country although it is no longer “legal”. It took nearly 100 years, a Civil War and the death of 600 thousand Americans to make slavery illegal. It took from 1789 until 1920 to give women the right to vote. It took until 1944 to give black men the right to die for their country along side white men in the military; before that they were segregated. It took until 1954 to gvie blacks the right to attend an integrated school. It took until 1965 to guarantee black people the right to vote freely. Those are the “fundamental flaws” that the original Constitution contained. All 3 have been corrected legally but the result of the constitution NOT doing so from the beginning are still with us today. Obama wasn’t wrong.
PS. In case you’re wondering, I am a “white” man, a veteran, and just as “American” as any one of you but I’m not blind to reality.
If Obama wins this election, they’ll try to make changes in our constitution, to promote their agenda for this country. They’ll create more BAD LAWS and BAD POLICIES, that will result to the our downfall. Remember who enacted the “Community Reinvestment Act”? Under Clinton’s presidency, he signed this law to force lending institutions, under threat of fines and lawsuits, to extend loans to “poor communities”….so Wallah(!) the housing “meltdown”, causing the present economic collapse. Unfortunately, this happened under Bush’s watch. Now the effects of this BAD LAW…has just “come to roost”, in the words of Obama’s mentor. Although the Bush administration tried to avert this by proposing an extensive overhaul of the financing and banking industries in 2003, the Democrats snubbed the proposal….and now they’re blaming BUsh! What a bunch of LIARS! Barney Franks and Chris Dodd, who were the so-called “Oversights” of “Freddie” and “Fannie”, assured us that these institutions were on solidly-well. As the “Oversights”, they hid the fact that it’s in trouble! BAD LAWS, created by the Democrats, has just “come to roost”..and you want more of these laws if Obama gets elected?
Oh and last thing. Both parties have screwed us in terms of this latest bailout “rescue.” and Bush was the proponent of it from the start! Had we not had both parties working on it, it would have been worse though. But it’s a pile of crap. Anytime an executive takes a payoff, there goes your money. You think it’s coming from somewhere else? They gave themselves permission to take it and it’s gone. That’s redistribution of wealth you should worry about and guess what, McCain didn’t help you.
The only person who was trying to actually help YOU was Ron Paul, the rest were helping themselves and their buddies. He was the only one with the voice talking about the matter in terms of the real money system problems and people keeping their own money.
Now look where we are. The masses are a trillion dollars poorer, so that the banks could loan our money back to ourselves at interest. Yeah that was smart.
You want to solve these problems? Put a bullet in the head of the next executive who takes from the pot of money and make them fear you. You see it’s fear that governs the corrupt. The corrupt think they can govern the masses with fear, but that doesn’t work. Fear does work on the corrupt though.
From where I stand, were gonna be screwed for the next couple years in spite of what money we gave to these companies. Thanks to McCain, Bush, Obama and all the rest back before 1918.

Some of the founders, Jefferson for one, tried to address the issue of Slavery even as they wrote the Declaration of Independence. But to take the first step toward freedom they needed the southern states. Slavery was left to be resolved another day. As it was again by the Constitution. But the constitution is a document establishing the mechanism for self government. It was not a document that judged morality. So over time the immoral nature of Slavery was cleansed by the blood of 250,000 Americans in our civil war and then the long march to civil rights. And so that conitinues.
But I wonder if Barack Obama would also condemn the “fundamental flaw” of the tribal chiefs of Africa that sold their tribal enemies to the white slave traders? Or does he reserve his disdain for the men who laid the groundwork for a nation that has been the driving force for freedom and opportunity for all humanity. A nation that was able to defeat National Socialism and Union of Soviet Socialist Republics along with the murder and misery that came with them?
