Polls Open in Dixville Notch

Welcome to the first election day post here at The American Pundit. We’ll have continuing and complete coverage througout the day, so be sure to check back very often.

The first election day polls are now officially open. Dixville Notch, New Hampshire’s 21 residents registered to vote began voting at midnight. How did it turn out? Obama carried the usually red-leaning district by 15 of the 21 votes cast.

How reliable is the town in picking presidents? Not very. The last Democrat it voted for was Hubert Humphrey in 1968. There may’ve been an election since then where Democrats have done okay nationally.
