MSNBC Anchor Shocked That Terrorism Still Exists After Obama Election

Yes, imagine that. The mere presence of the Messiah as president-elect hasn’t solved the problem of international terrorism. Can’t he just wave his hand and solve it all, including climate change?

His supporters are in for a reality check of historic proportions. Better quickly ramp-up production of Prozac, my friends.

ALEX WITT: You know, John, and it’s interesting because there are many who had such an optimistic and hopeful opinion of things, and you certainly can’t expect things to change [snaps fingers] on a dime overnight, but there are many who suggested that with the outgoing Bush administration and the incoming Obama administration there would be something of a lull in terrorism attacks. There had been such a global outpouring of affection, respect, hope, with the new administration coming in, that precisely these kinds of attacks, it was thought — at least hoped — would be dampered down. But in this case it looks like Barack Obama is getting a preview of things to come.

Are there supporters of his who are so oblivious as to think the jihadists would cut us a break because the Bush Administration is outgoing and the Obama Administration incoming? They thought that Obama’s hopenchange would “damper” the attacks? Seriously?

How can anyone really be surprised that things haven’t changed? Ayman Al-Zawahiri just referred to Obama as a “house negro”. Joe Biden himself warned that the exact opposite would happen: That Obama would be tested.

Here’s the problem: There are people who truly believe that the Bush Administration’s presence is what fuels these extremists. Therefore, once you get a hopenchangey nice guy into office, they’ll damper down their attacks and change. Newsflash: Nothing has or will change.
