The Illinois Supreme Court has rejected to hear a motion by the state’s Attorney General, Lisa Madigan, to declare Gov. Rod Blagojevich unfit for office. The rejection was without comment by the high court.

By the way, the rejection isn’t much of a surprise. The legal argument was pretty weak. I thought it sounded like an attempt by a speaker at the Democratic National Convention to remove Blago from the public eye sooner.
